FEELING SKETCHY #119 and SCRAPBOOKING TOP 50 April..

A very good day to you! I hope the sun is shining on you and things are going well..

The sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #119 had me thinking,  I was thinking of making a door on my card, but then I made a lattice back ground and covered it with fussy cut flowers..

The sketch.. and my card...

Happy Birthday..

And in my travels around blog land I came across a site and they had a very "Happy" challenge happening!! So I thought I would join in!! After all, you can never have too much 'happy!!'

The challenge was to use the word 'happy' on your layout, and you can if you wish take inspiration from the picture.. well I did take inspiration from the picture and made some daisy's for my layout!!

some closer views..

and my layout.. Happy Moment.. I have scrapped this photo before, but just thought I would scrap it again!!

I made the daisys and used some 3-d stickers as well..

Have a happy day!!

SCRAP THE BOYS AND SHOW US YOUR STUFF APRIL..

A very good day to you! It is a bit rainy here and I have no inclination for housework, so putting a post on my blog is a good idea!!

The April challenge for SCRAP THE BOYS is a fabulous mood board and I took my inspiration from the picture in the top right hand corner as well as the colors in the squares.. The board looks like..
and my layout...

some closer views showing some details..
 Stamps, washi, dies, and stencilling..

Boys will be boys..

and for something completely different!!!

The challenge for April for SHOW US YOUR STUFF is a mood board too, but a very feminine one!!

How pretty is that?!! and because Show Us Your Stuff is also about hand made embellies, I decided to try my hand at making the flowers for this layout.. because that is what I was inspired by, from the mood board, as well as the pastel colors...so all the flowers are made by me using various dies..

some closer views..

 Dream Big..

I certainly am not an expert flower maker, but these flowers turned out ok I think!!!

SO what ever your day brings you today, I hope it is good!!

Feeling SKetchy #118 and CSI Major Case File # 160 Guest Detective..

Hello there,
I trust you are having a great day!

The card sketch for FEELING SKETCHY #118 is another lovely one. I received some wonderful news a couple of weeks ago that my Nephew and his Wife were expecting their first child later this year..  So I thought I would make a little card to congratulate them... and the sketch..
and my card.. not knowing if this little one will be a boy or a girl I made the card in neutral colors..

Congratulations!
I seem to have lots of old papers in my stash, so the papers I have used are many years old.. and  I used a cute little chipboard baby sticker.. My Nephew had a serious accident last year, so this baby news is such good news for the family!

And I am a guest Detective over at .C.S.I. Case File #160 which closes on Thursday April 30. I had never created a layout for this challenge before and when I was asked I was a bit worried about following all the details.. but once I understood how the challenge works, my layout came together quite well..
