Guesting at ARTastic and Blue Fern Studios May Sketch.

A big Hello to you, I  hope you are having a magnificent day!

Here we are in the last week of May... humm... is it me or are the days going faster than last year??

This month I was happy to be a guest designer for ARTASTIC CHALLENGE BLOG and if you have never heard of this site then they run a challenge each month and the inspiration is based on a painting and sometimes some other criteria.. They are a lovely bunch over there and an Aussie site so please pop over and check them out and see if you are inspired to join in with their challenge..

This month the inspiration painting is..
MAY inspiration by Sarah Beetson with the criteria of stars..  Well when I saw this painting I thought of myself as a little girl.. I was a little blondie with short hair so I used a photo of myself and as this painting is called Return of the Prince, I just made my title based on being a Princess..  I took inspiration from the colors and also added stars.. and my layout..

Every little girl is a Princess..

Hehe, yep that is me, I am guessing at about 4 years old!! You can see more about the ARTASTIC CHALLENGE HERE..

And I have also created a layout for this months sketch for BLUE FERN STUDIOS which is another fabulous sketch and looks like..

I love Blue Fern papers, I dont have many but I am sure I will add to what I have.. and the chip board.. so pretty...
Anyway I altered the chipboard pieces that I have used with some Tinby Melts and some Zing embossing powder.  I used the Treasured floral frame and some shabby brick bits on my layout..I have used the Montage range of Blue Fern Papers..

Some closer views showing the texture on the chippies...

some stencilling and misting..
and some fussy cutting of images from the pretty Montage papers..
I also wrapped some thick cotton around the chipboard piece for added texture. And my layout..

Sitting Pretty.
I have used foam squares and old cardboard to lift up some of the elements..

So thank you for your visit and as always your comments are lovely to read too..

Kaisercraft Design Team Finalist Entry 2015-2016.

A very good day to you!

As the blog title suggests, this is my blog post for round two for the Kaisercraft Design Team 2015-2016.

When I got the papers last week, I was delighted to see what I had to create with.. However  I only got papers, and when I get my Kaisercraft collections from my local Kaisercraft store, I  get the sticker sheet, and the collectables and the stamps, and with that I have an amazing array of products to create with.. The collectables make embellishing so easy and the stamps also add that extra touch to any creation.. So I thought ok... lets see what I can do with the papers only...

And you know me.. I saw lots of fussy cutting!! So I set to work and began creating..

Now I can't tell you much about these papers as they are not released yet.. but I can tell you they are beautiful.. So let my photos do the talking!

We were asked to create a layout, a card and perhaps a little something extra..

With the first range...

my layout..  Closer views to see the fussy cutting and layering...

and my layout..

My card..

closer views.
(I love the butterflies in these papers!!!)
(The papers are strong and good to manipulate to make my own flowers with..)

My card.

And my little extra is a tag..

The second range we got to create with is a lovely Christmas range... oh yessss.. starting to think Christmas already!!!

My Layout..

some closer views.
(layers!!!)
(fussy cutting!!!)

And my layout..

My card..

some closer views.
Kaisercraft papers work so well in dies.. I made this bow from the papers..
And I could not resist fussy cutting the poinsettia flower and jazzing it up with kindy glitz!

My card.
With just an added piece from the papers you can match the envelope with the card.

And my little extra...

Some Christmas bunting..

some closer views..

and my Bunting..
Something special to hang up at Christmas time.. The sentiments on the papers made it easy..

Thank you so much for coming by and seeing what I created for my second round application for the Kaisercraft Design Team 2015-2016..

It would be so amazing to be on the Design Team for products I have enjoyed using for many years.

Thank you too for your lovely comments ..
